My name is Thomas Burkel, and I am a third-year student at the University of Oregon. I am majoring in Public Relations with a concentration in Sports Business. Throughout my life, I have always had an interest in sports and communications. Connecting with fans, elevating brands, and generating content that inspires others is something that I have always strived to create. 

I have partaken in a variety of experiences to highlight this love of sports and communications. Recently I have taken on a new venture of helping athletes elevate their brands within NIL. From implementing NIL strategies in optimizing sponsorship opportunities for athletes, to managing social media engagement, communication is a key aspect in building these relationships for the athlete and their brand. With this love of sports and communications I hope to integrate the two to help build brands that inspire others.
